Firstup has announced a new product release introducing expanded personalization, content prioritization, and self-service capabilities across its intelligent workforce communication platform.
Building on its earlier launch of Audience Block Targeting, the update extends personalization across the full employee experience from web and mobile homepages to content feeds and analytics. The goal is to help organizations deliver more relevant communications that drive measurable engagement and business outcomes.
Bill Schuh, CEO of Firstup, said personalization is central to the platform’s impact. He noted that when employees receive content tailored to their role and delivered through their preferred channels, engagement rates can significantly exceed baseline levels, leading to more meaningful action.

Personalized digital experiences at scale
A major component of the release is an expansion of Custom Homepage functionality. Organizations can now design audience-specific homepages based on criteria such as role, location, tenure, or other workforce segments. This ensures employees see content, tools, and resources most relevant to them.
Mobile enhancements bring the full Custom Homepage experience to iOS and Android devices, including optimized image banners and layout improvements. New prioritization logic allows administrators to use drag-and-drop controls to determine which content appears most prominently. Content stacking and filtering features also make it easier to group related topics into unified modules with visibility controls.
When combined with Knowledge Hubs and Shortcuts for centralized resources and quick system access, the platform enables layered personalization across multiple touchpoints. Notably, these features can be configured without coding or IT involvement, allowing business teams to deploy targeted experiences quickly.

Precision targeting and expanded analytics
The release also introduces Focused Content, which enables communicators to target specific audiences or subsets within audiences inside existing topics. This helps simplify content structures while improving relevance.
On the analytics front, enhancements include deeper integration insights with UKG Pro, providing expanded visibility into user actions, as well as new self-service capabilities for configuring automated data exports.
Cheryl Chavez, Chief Product Officer at Firstup, said the updates reflect the company’s continued focus on precision communication, enabling organizations to reach employees more effectively while strengthening productivity and overall business impact.
