WorldWide HealthStaff Solutions (WWHS), a Medical Solutions company specializing in direct-hire international nurse recruitment, announced that CEO Ron Hoppe will retire after 27 years of leadership. Patti Artley has been appointed president as part of the transition.
In addition, CFO David Martin will leave the organization to pursue new opportunities.
Founded in 1998, WWHS has built a global reputation as a workforce partner connecting healthcare employers with qualified registered nurses, nurse aides/PCTs, and medical laboratory technologists from around the world. During Hoppe’s tenure, the organization expanded its international recruitment footprint, strengthened global sourcing capabilities, and supported hospitals navigating ongoing workforce shortages. He also played a key role in guiding WWHS through its acquisition by Medical Solutions, helping align strategy, culture, and long-term client and candidate relationships.

“Leading WorldWide HealthStaff Solutions has been the privilege of a lifetime,” Hoppe said, expressing confidence in Artley and the broader leadership team to continue advancing the company’s mission. He will remain engaged during the transition to ensure continuity and strategic alignment with Medical Solutions.
Artley brings a blend of clinical and executive leadership experience to her new role. Over the past three years, she has worked closely with WWHS to enhance clinical operations, deepen client partnerships, and strengthen clinician experience initiatives. A nurse by background, she holds nursing degrees from Pennsylvania State University and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Old Dominion University.

“As a nurse, I believe caring for the caregiver is essential to positive patient outcomes,” Artley said. She emphasized her commitment to supporting international medical professionals while helping healthcare organizations expand access to quality care.
The leadership transition positions WWHS to continue delivering global talent solutions amid persistent healthcare workforce challenges.
