Paychex, an industry-leading human capital management (HCM) company, announced today its Paychex Flex® and Paycor platforms were both recognized as a “Leader” by global analyst and research firm, NelsonHall, in the firm’s 2025 “HCM Technology and GenAI” Vendor Evaluation and Assessment Tool (NEAT). The NEAT enables buyers to assess the capabilities of HCM vendors across a range of criteria and business situations to identify the best-performing vendors.

DeeAnna Warrington, Principal HR Analyst, NelsonHall, said “Paychex and Paycor have been identified as Leaders in the SMB segment of the HCM Technology market based on their ability to support clients with integrated, cloud-based, and intelligence-enabled solutions. Their combined expertise in analytics, AI, and platform extensibility is expected to drive continued advancement across SMB and mid-market segments, supporting scalable and employee-focused workforce management solutions.”

NelsonHall evaluated 12 HCM platforms in the 2025 NEAT report and based results on two criteria: (1) ability to deliver immediate client benefit and (2) ability to meet future client requirements. Both Paychex Flex and Paycor were positioned in the upper right quadrant of the NEAT matrix with a leader designation for each platform’s HCM technology performance within the Small and Medium Business (SMB) market.

“It’s an honor to have both the Paychex Flex and Paycor platforms recognized by NelsonHall for delivering intelligent HCM technology that addresses the current and future needs of our customers,” said Ryan Bergstrom, Chief Product Officer at Paychex. “Our AI-enabled HCM technologies combined with expert HR advisory solutions are providing organizations a competitive advantage, acting as a force multiplier that enhances productivity and insights to help businesses succeed.”
