TestGorilla has introduced a new suite of assessments and simulation tests designed to help organizations evaluate AI readiness and AI fluency in candidates. The announcement was made following the company’s flagship event, Hire for the AI Era, where industry leaders discussed the evolving demands of AI-driven workplaces.
The launch reflects a major shift in hiring priorities. According to data shared by Wouter Durville, 70% of companies now integrate AI into their core workforce operations, and 71% of leaders prioritize AI skills over years of experience during recruitment. Despite this shift, many hiring processes still rely on traditional evaluation methods designed before the widespread adoption of AI technologies.

A Framework for Measuring AI Fluency
The new assessments are built on TestGorilla’s proprietary AI Fluency Framework, developed by its internal team of organizational scientists and psychologists. The framework defines AI fluency as a combination of five measurable capabilities that determine whether candidates can work effectively in AI-enabled environments:
Durville emphasized that AI fluency is broader than technical prompting skills and involves the combined application of these competencies in real-world work scenarios.

New AI Interviews and Simulation Tests
TestGorilla’s latest release includes two AI-powered video interview assessments focused on Learning Agility and AI Readiness. These tools evaluate how candidates adapt to new technologies, respond to feedback, and responsibly collaborate with AI systems.
Additionally, more than 70 existing AI video interviews have been updated to include AI fluency questions embedded into role-specific assessments. The platform has also introduced five simulation-based tests covering areas such as algorithmic reasoning, B2B account management, conflict handling, customer success soft skills, and technical collaboration.
According to TestGorilla, these innovations help employers move beyond résumé-based screening toward more accurate skills evaluation, enabling organizations to hire talent capable of thriving in AI-augmented workplaces.
