The bootcamps launching through the collaboration with LACCD will focus on Data Analytics and Visualization and IT Technician training. Both programs are designed to provide learners with the technical skills required to enter technology roles that continue to see strong demand in the Los Angeles job market.
Dr. Armando Rivera-Figueroa, Interim Associate Vice Chancellor for Workforce and Economic Development at LACCD, said the district’s mission includes expanding equitable access to education and economic opportunity. He noted that partnering with QuickStart enables the district to offer industry-aligned, fully online programs that help learners gain practical skills and prepare for sustainable careers in high-growth technology fields.

The bootcamps are structured to allow participants to complete the programs within a relatively short time frame, typically within a semester, while preparing for nationally recognized certifications. LACCD also plans to support students who want to continue their education through Credit for Prior Learning opportunities, allowing skills gained through the bootcamps to count toward future academic advancement.
Delivered entirely online, the programs combine instructor-led training, practical exercises, certification preparation, and capstone projects that simulate real workplace scenarios. Participants will also receive career services designed to support their transition into technology roles after completing the program.
