NEOGOV Collaborates with OpenGov to Streamline Government Workforce and Finance Operations

NEOGOV has announced a collaboration with OpenGov to simplify workforce and financial management for public sector organizations across the United States.

The partnership aims to deliver an interoperable solution connecting NEOGOV’s workforce management platform with the OpenGov Public Service Platform, enabling agencies to link HR operations with financial systems without adding complexity. Many government organizations currently rely on disconnected systems that make it difficult to align hiring, onboarding, payroll, and benefits administration with budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting processes.

By integrating workforce and financial data, the joint solution allows public sector organizations to reduce manual processes, minimize administrative errors, and gain real-time insight into how workforce decisions affect budgets and public spending. The integration also provides a clearer view of how resources are allocated across departments and programs.

According to Josh Snyder, government agencies are increasingly being asked to deliver more services with fewer resources. He explained that the collaboration with OpenGov helps HR and finance teams eliminate operational silos, access more reliable data, and make informed decisions that improve efficiency while strengthening public service delivery.

The OpenGov Public Service Platform is widely used by cities, counties, school districts, and state agencies to manage key government operations. The system provides a unified environment for functions such as asset management, permitting, procurement, budgeting, revenue collection, and financial management.

Several municipalities including Orange Beach, Alabama; Delano, California; and Stuart, Florida already use both OpenGov and NEOGOV solutions to streamline administrative operations. NEOGOV’s cloud-based human capital management suite supports the entire employee lifecycle for public sector workforces, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and compliance tracking. Through this partnership, the company seeks to strengthen how public agencies manage both workforce strategy and financial planning while maintaining compliance with local policies and regulatory requirements.
