Mastek, a leading AI-driven digital engineering and cloud transformation partner, has successfully completed the deployment of Oracle HCM Cloud Applications at Harmony Australasia, a major mining group with operations in Australia and Papua New Guinea. The implementation, finalized in just 56 weeks, created a unified HR ecosystem covering five legal entities and two business units, marking a significant step forward in HR modernization for the mining sector.
Mining remains one of the most complex industries, demanding rigorous compliance, strict safety measures, and efficient workforce management. To address these challenges, Harmony Australasia initiated its digital transformation journey with Mastek as its partner, aiming to optimize workforce planning, streamline compliance, and enhance employee experiences. The shift to Oracle HCM Cloud has allowed the organization to eliminate excessive manual work, increase automation, and achieve standardized processes across geographies.
The project unfolded in three stages: an advisory phase to align business requirements with Oracle’s capabilities; the deployment of Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), Core HR, and Learning modules; and finally, the rollout of Talent, Compensation, and HR Helpdesk. All components went live simultaneously, ensuring an integrated HR experience.
