Event

Accenture   has finalized the acquisition of Aidemy Inc. (Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market, Securities Code: 5577) following a successful tender offer, marking a strategic step in expanding its LearnVantage learning and reskilling platform. The integration of Aidemy will enhance Accenture’s ability to help clients worldwide bridge skill gaps and accelerate adoption of generative AI and other advanced technologies.

During the tender offer period from August 15, 2025, to September 29, 2025, the number of Aidemy shares tendered exceeded the minimum required, completing the acquisition. Following the settlement, Aidemy will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Accenture, with remaining shares set to be purchased in the coming months before delisting from the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Aidemy specializes in AI and digital transformation (DX) services for enterprises, including talent development, organizational transformation consulting, and AI system development. The company also provides reskilling programs for individuals in AI, DX, and data analytics, alongside career support initiatives. Founded in June 2014, Aidemy has recently listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market in 2023. Approximately 130 professionals from Aidemy and its affiliates, including fact-real, MABOROSHI, and to-R, will join Accenture to enhance client services in talent strategy and organizational transformation.

Atsushi Egawa, CEO of Accenture Japan and co-CEO for Asia-Pacific, said:
"Companies are under increasing pressure to drive enterprise-wide reinvention using cutting-edge technologies like generative AI. Success requires not just adopting new tools but rethinking skills, ways of working, and talent development. By combining Accenture’s strengths with Aidemy’s expertise, we can accelerate client transformation, strengthen workforce capabilities, and contribute to sustainable growth and societal advancement."

Akihiko Ishikawa, President of Aidemy, added:
"Aidemy has a history of supporting AI and DX initiatives from education to implementation, helping companies achieve digital transformation. Joining Accenture allows us to expand our capabilities in talent development and AI system deployment, particularly in reskilling and organizational adoption, to accelerate the integration of AI and advanced technologies across industries."

The acquisition aligns with global trends in workforce transformation. According to the World Economic Forum, 39% of workers’ skills are expected to evolve or become obsolete between 2025 and 2030, highlighting the importance of continuous investment in talent development. In response, Accenture launched LearnVantage in March 2024, a US$1 billion initiative over three years supporting reskilling, upskilling, and talent strategies worldwide. Previous acquisitions such as Udacity, Award Solutions, TalentSprint, and Ascendient Learning have further strengthened this platform.
