Holman Logistics has appointed Laurie Johnston as Vice President, People Support. In her new role, Johnston will lead the company’s people strategy, overseeing talent acquisition, employee engagement, leadership development, and organizational culture initiatives.
Johnston brings more than 20 years of progressive experience across human resources leadership, employment law, and organizational development. Her background spans multiple industries, including manufacturing, technology, food production, and global logistics. She is widely recognized for aligning people strategies with business objectives to drive performance, strengthen retention, and support sustainable growth.

Most recently, Johnston served as Chief People Officer at Shape Technologies Group, a private equity-backed, multi-country organization with more than 1,300 employees and over $450 million in revenue. She previously held Chief People Officer responsibilities at Astrix Technology, LLC and served as Vice President of Human Resources at SK Food Group, Inc.. Earlier in her career, Johnston was Director of Global Legal Services Employment at Expeditors International of Washington, Inc., where she managed employment law matters across international operations.
Her professional foundation is rooted in employment law. Johnston practiced as a Partner at Gordon & Rees LLP and as a Senior Associate at Jackson Lewis PC, providing her with extensive legal expertise that informs her HR leadership approach.

Johnston holds a Juris Doctor from Creighton University and a Bachelor of Arts from University of Northern Iowa. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership at Colorado State University – Global and maintains SHRM-SCP and SPHR certifications along with a Washington State Bar License.
