Dice Offers GlossaryTech Free to Customers to Simplify Tech Recruiting Terminology

March 6, 2026
Event

Dice, a technology career marketplace and brand of DHI Group, Inc., has announced a new partnership with GlossaryTech, a browser extension designed to help recruiters quickly understand technical terminology. The tool is now available to Dice clients through the Dice Recruiter Hub at no additional cost.

The partnership aims to make the tech hiring process more efficient by giving recruiters instant access to clear, plain-language definitions of technical terms while they review job descriptions, candidate profiles, or other hiring materials. As the technology landscape evolves rapidly, new programming languages, frameworks, and platforms appear frequently, making it challenging for recruiters to keep up with specialized terminology.

GlossaryTech addresses this challenge by integrating directly into a recruiter’s existing workflow. Once installed on Chrome or Microsoft Edge, the extension automatically highlights technical terms on webpages including platforms such as Dice, Gmail, and Google Docs. Recruiters can simply hover over a highlighted term to see an easy-to-understand explanation tailored for hiring professionals.

The tool also includes a categorized sidebar that organizes terms into key technical areas such as front-end development, back-end development, DevOps, databases, and quality assurance. This feature allows recruiters to quickly compare candidate skills with the requirements of open positions.

Paul Farnsworth, President of Dice, said the company is focused not only on connecting employers with skilled candidates but also on improving the overall hiring experience. He explained that when recruiters can quickly understand the technical terms appearing in résumés or job postings, they can evaluate candidates more efficiently and make stronger hiring decisions without interrupting their workflow.

GlossaryTech has been used by tech recruiters since 2018 and has grown through community adoption within the recruiting industry. The tool’s definitions are curated by both recruiting and engineering professionals, ensuring that explanations remain practical and relevant while avoiding complex technical jargon.

Staffing firms have also used GlossaryTech as a training resource for onboarding new recruiters, helping them learn technical terminology more quickly and reduce the time required to evaluate candidates effectively.

Andrew Stetsenko, founder of GlossaryTech, said the partnership with Dice expands the reach of a tool already trusted by recruiters. He noted that both organizations share a common goal of making technology hiring more efficient and accessible for recruiting teams.

GlossaryTech is now available to all Dice clients through the Dice Recruiter Hub and can be installed in just a few minutes without additional onboarding or training.
