Talvy Lands $2M in Seed Funding to Modernize the Hiring Resume

March 11, 2026
Event

Talvy, a platform focused on creating video-based professional profiles, has announced $2 million in seed funding led by Link Ventures. The company aims to reshape how employers evaluate candidates by replacing traditional text resumes with short-form video profiles that highlight personality, communication style, and professional stories.

The funding comes at a time when hiring teams are facing a surge in job applications, often driven by AI-generated resumes. Recruiters increasingly struggle to identify strong candidates among large volumes of applications that may lack meaningful signals about a candidate’s real abilities or potential fit within a team.

Talvy’s platform addresses this challenge by allowing job seekers to create short video profiles that showcase their skills, mindset, and career journeys. Instead of relying solely on written resumes, candidates can present themselves through brief recorded narratives that reveal qualities such as communication ability, energy, and interpersonal presence.

For employers, the platform introduces a new way to review candidates. Talvy’s natural language search tools allow recruiters to identify relevant candidates and quickly view their video profiles before scheduling interviews. This approach helps hiring teams gain an early impression of a candidate’s communication style and cultural fit, insights that often only emerge during later stages of the hiring process.

Recruiters can also invite applicants from their existing hiring pipelines to submit Talvy profiles into a private review group, enabling hiring teams to assess candidates visually before conducting interviews.

Talvy was founded by KJ Hardrict, a Stanford PhD dropout and content creator who developed the platform after observing how many qualified candidates are overlooked during traditional screening processes. Hardrict said the platform was designed to create a more human approach to hiring, giving candidates the opportunity to be seen and heard rather than judged solely through written credentials.

Frazer Anderson, Managing Director at Link Ventures, said the investment reflects growing recognition that conventional hiring tools often fail to capture real potential. According to Anderson, Talvy’s video-driven approach gives candidates a stronger voice and helps employers identify talent that may otherwise be missed in traditional resume screening systems.

Alongside the funding announcement, Talvy also introduced Talvy Spotlight, a curated program designed to highlight exceptional candidates on the platform. Participants selected for the program are personally vetted by the Talvy team and promoted directly to hiring managers within the company’s network. Selected candidates may also receive public exposure through featured promotions, including displays on a Times Square billboard With the new funding, Talvy plans to continue expanding its platform and further develop tools that support a more personal and efficient hiring experience.
