Red Rover, a provider of human capital management (HCM) technology for K-12 education, has introduced Records, a new solution designed to help school districts capture, track, and manage employee data more efficiently. The new offering is part of Red Rover’s K-12 HCM platform and is built specifically to support HR administrators responsible for managing workforce information across districts.
Records integrates directly with Red Rover’s existing solutions, including Absence Management, Time Tracking, Hiring, and Professional Development Management, enabling districts to manage the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to placement and offboarding within a single platform.
According to Dani O'Shaughnessy, co-founder and CEO of Red Rover, school districts are under increasing pressure to streamline HR processes while maintaining compliance with regulations that vary across states and districts. She explained that Records serves as a centralized hub for employee data, helping HR teams manage information more effectively while supporting educators throughout their careers.

Managing employment records in K-12 environments often involves complex compliance requirements, licensure tracking, and extensive paperwork. HR teams frequently handle multiple systems, manual processes, and scattered documentation, which can slow administrative operations. Red Rover’s Records solution aims to address these challenges through an automated and integrated approach that reduces administrative workloads while supporting regulatory requirements.
The platform offers several features designed to improve efficiency and organization. Centralized employee records provide a single source of truth for all workforce data, allowing HR administrators to quickly access key information related to hiring, job assignments, and employment history. Customizable forms and workflows allow districts to tailor data collection processes to their needs while streamlining approvals and internal reviews.

Records also includes document management capabilities that allow HR teams to securely store and organize files such as certifications, contracts, and personnel records. Compliance tools support licensure tracking and regulatory reporting, helping districts maintain up-to-date records and reduce legal risk.
Craig Waldvogel, Director of Operations at Albany Area Schools (ISD 745), said implementing Red Rover Records helped the district eliminate paper forms and multiple digital tools by consolidating processes into one system, improving efficiency for district staff.
The launch of Records is part of Red Rover’s broader strategy to expand its integrated K-12 HCM platform. Future updates will introduce additional capabilities such as contract management tools, enhanced workflow automation, analytics for workforce insights, and expanded employee self-service options.
By continuing to develop solutions based on feedback from HR administrators and district leaders, Red Rover aims to help schools modernize workforce management while allowing educators and administrators to focus more on supporting student success.
