Rain Announces Integration With Paylocity, Improving Seamless Earned Wage Access

October 17, 2025
Event

Rain, a leading provider of earned wage access (EWA) solutions, today announced the launch of a new integration with leading HR, payroll and spend management platform, Paylocity. The more than 41,650 clients using Paylocity will now have access to a streamlined earned wage access solution directly through the company’s integrations marketplace. This new bi-directional integration enables the employees of Paylocity customers to join over 3.5 million workers who have used Rain to reduce reliance on predatory financial products and ease financial strain between paychecks.

According to the Financial Health Pulse 2024 U.S. Trends Report, 70% of American households are experiencing worsening day-to-day financial realities and are currently considered financially unhealthy. As employers work to retain talent, they are seeking new benefits, like earned wage access, to help ease financial burdens for their workforce. Rain's earned wage access solution, now seamlessly integrated with Paylocity's payroll platform, provides companies with a proven tool to help employees access their earned wages when needed most.

Streamlined Earned Wage Access for Paylocity Users

The integration enables Paylocity users to deploy Rain's earned wage access solution quickly and securely through:

  1. Secure Data Integration: Rain imports earned wage data directly from Paylocity, enabling eligible employees to access up to 50% of their gross earnings before payday while maintaining responsible usage limits.
  2. Automated Employee Management: Key employee details, including names, wage rates, wage types and employee IDs, are automatically pulled from Paylocity along with timekeeping data such as hours worked.
  3. User-Friendly Access: Employees access their earned wages through Rain's mobile app, with free ACH transfers to existing bank accounts and optional instant access for a small fee. Rain provides all funding and handles the advance process.
  4. Seamless Payroll Integration: At the end of each pay period, Rain automatically sends earned wage adjustments back to Paylocity for inclusion in the regular payroll run. Advanced wages are deducted alongside regular taxes and withholdings, and employers reimburse Rain directly, ensuring zero disruption to normal payroll operations.

“Knowing Rain partners directly with Paylocity gives us extra confidence that the systems we rely on every day work smoothly together,” said Heather Grant, Hopebridge’s Director of Total Rewards. "While our decision to partner with Rain was about employee financial wellness first, the Paylocity integration has been a real added benefit.”

“Earned wage access is becoming an essential component of any modern HCM toolkit,” said Rodolphe Mulliez, EVP of Go-to-Market at Rain. “By partnering with Rain, our payroll model seamlessly integrates with your system, allowing us to collect less data than any other provider in the U.S., driving financial wellness and flexibility for today’s workforce.”
