NEOGOV, a workforce management platform designed specifically for the public sector, has announced the acquisition of power detailed, a software solution that helps public safety agencies manage off-duty assignments and special event scheduling. With this acquisition, NEOGOV expands its capabilities within the public safety sector by offering agencies tools to manage both on-duty and off-duty scheduling within a unified workforce management platform.
PowerDetails was originally founded in 2006 as part of PowerDMS now known as PowerDMS by NEOGOV with the goal of simplifying how law enforcement agencies handle off-duty details and special event assignments. In 2012, PowerDetails became an independent company but continued to focus on the public safety market. Since then, the platform has grown significantly, serving more than 99,000 users and helping agencies schedule over 7.5 million off-duty and overtime assignments.

According to Shane Evangelist, CEO of NEOGOV, the acquisition represents a natural evolution of the longstanding relationship between the two organizations. Many customers already use both platforms, making the integration a logical step toward delivering a more comprehensive workforce management solution. By combining PowerDetails’ off-duty scheduling capabilities with the broader PowerDMS by NEOGOV platform, the company aims to provide public safety agencies with a more connected and efficient system for managing personnel operations.
NEOGOV has spent more than 25 years developing workforce solutions for the public sector and currently supports over 13,000 state, local, and federal government agencies. The company’s platform helps public organizations streamline administrative processes, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and improve operational efficiency while delivering essential services to communities.

The addition of PowerDetails further strengthens NEOGOV’s position in the public safety technology market. Agencies will now be able to combine off-duty scheduling capabilities with other tools in the PowerDMS by NEOGOV ecosystem. These include PowerPolicy for policy management, PolicyStandards for accreditation management, and PowerEngage for community engagement initiatives. PowerDetails also integrates with PowerTime, a system designed to manage and communicate on-duty scheduling processes in real time. Together, these solutions create a unified workforce management platform that helps agencies oversee staffing, scheduling, compliance, and operational coordination more effectively.
Andy Rivera, President of PowerDetails, noted that the platform was initially created to replace manual systems such as spreadsheets and paper-based scheduling processes used by many law enforcement agencies. He described the acquisition as a “full circle” moment, as the company reunites with its original parent organization. By joining forces with NEOGOV, the companies aim to continue delivering technology that modernizes scheduling processes and supports public safety agencies in serving their communities more efficiently.
