Aragorn AI Raises $4.3M Seed Round to Usher HR into the Intelligence Era

Aragorn AI, the company behind the People Ops Operating System that unifies HR data, analytics, and AI-driven assistants, has raised $4.3 million in a seed funding round led by LiveOak Ventures, with additional support from Dallas Venture Capital. This round brings the company’s total funding to $5.5 million and will accelerate product development and market expansion.

Traditional HR systems have long relied on fragmented spreadsheets, siloed dashboards, and complex point-to-point integrations. Each new tool introduces unique data formats, governance requirements, and maintenance overhead, making HR operations costly, slow, and dependent on consultants.

Aragorn AI addresses these challenges with a unified platform that provides clean, real-time HR data, a connected framework mapping people, policies, and organizational structures, and AI assistants that work directly in Slack or Teams. This approach enables HR teams to operate proactively, strategically, and in a data-driven manner.

Key capabilities of Aragorn AI include:

  • Integrations Engine: Connects payroll, benefits, ATS, LMS, and performance systems in days rather than months.

  • Analytics Studio: Offers interactive, no-code dashboards to explore workforce trends and retention insights.

  • Agentic Studio: Allows HR teams to deploy AI-powered assistants for reporting, compliance, and policy queries without coding.

At its core, Aragorn AI is building the People Ops Operating System—replacing siloed dashboards and fragmented tools with a single source of HR intelligence. The platform allows HR teams to manage integrations independently, forecast capacity, and access AI-driven insights for decision-making.

“We’re not creating another plugin or a chatbot layered on top of legacy systems,” said Ed Adjei, CEO of Aragorn AI. “Our platform is designed around how HR teams actually work, handling real-world data, workflows, and organizational changes, making HR operations modern and seamless.”

Founded in 2022 by siblings Ed and Gladys Adjei, Aragorn AI was born from the shared goal of fixing one of HR’s most persistent issues: fragmented and unreliable data. Ed, a former VP of Engineering at YourCause, scaled the platform to over 500 enterprise clients before its acquisition by Blackbaud. Gladys, a former Raytheon software engineer, brought expertise in secure, distributed systems to ensure reliability throughout the platform.

Aragorn AI is already in use at enterprises such as Plaid, The Friedkin Group, and Oak View Group. “Adopting Aragorn AI has transformed our HR operations,” said Amy S., Director of HR Operations at The Friedkin Group. “It simplified integrations, enabled faster pivots, and made our team far more efficient.”

Venu Shamapant, Co-founder and Partner at LiveOak Ventures, added, “Aragorn combines a robust HR data foundation with agentic AI to create the next-generation operating system for People Ops. We are excited to support Ed and the team as they scale.”
