Helio AI, a U.S.-based recruiting technology company built by a Georgian founding team, has secured a $1 million seed round to scale its AI-driven frontline hiring platform worldwide. The round was led by SABAH.fund, with participation from DOMiNO Ventures, Axiom, Tetrad VC, and angel investor Bas Godska. The new investment will fuel Helio AI’s global expansion, strengthen product capabilities, and support its mission to modernize hiring in rapidly growing markets.
Helio AI delivers an intelligent recruiting agent capable of chatting, reasoning, and operating in local languages, paired with game-based psychometric assessments. Together, these capabilities automate as much as 70% of recruiter tasks, prioritize top candidates instantly, and significantly improve hiring accuracy for employers managing large volumes of applicants.
This funding follows a $350,000 pre-seed round backed by Teimuraz Jashi, the Georgian Business Angel Network (Axel), and 500 Eurasia. That early support enabled Helio AI to build its core technology and demonstrate strong traction with hundreds of global brands across seven countries.

“Our success is rooted in the trust of our earliest supporters and the alignment we’ve built with our new partners,” said Iako Jikia, co-founder and CEO of Helio AI. “We choose investors who match our culture and energy, because the right collaboration fuels major breakthroughs. This round is a major milestone in taking Helio global and expanding the impact we’re already creating.”
Participating investors noted that Helio AI is addressing one of the biggest inefficiencies in HR: the manual and often biased nature of frontline recruiting, especially in industries with high turnover.
SABAH.fund emphasized Helio’s alignment with its investment thesis:
“Helio is solving a massive, underserved problem in HR. Advanced AI has not fully reached this category, and Helio’s team is exceptionally positioned to shape the next generation of recruitment technology,” said Abbas Kazmi, Managing Partner.
Axiom pointed to the long-term shift from traditional resume screening to deeper insight-driven hiring:
“Helio AI tackles one of the most enduring challenges in business—understanding human capability beyond a CV.”
Tetrad VC noted that Helio’s momentum and customer adoption speak for themselves:
“Winning international brands across multiple countries without heavy marketing is one of the clearest indicators that a startup has real product–market fit.”
DOMiNO Ventures highlighted the founders’ discipline and consistent execution:
“We’ve watched the team for over a year and a half and have been consistently impressed by their transparency, focus, and ability to deliver. Helio is solving a critical problem and is led by a team capable of creating a category-defining company.”
Angel investor Bas Godska, known for backing MIRO and Harver, also joined the round, bringing extensive experience in scaling and cross-regional expansion.
With fresh capital and a strong group of global investors, Helio AI is set to accelerate its recruiting agent’s global rollout. The company plans to deepen its AI capabilities, expand into new markets, and continue pushing toward a faster, fairer model of frontline hiring.
